I graduated from the University of Victoria in 2010 with a B.Sc. Double Major in Biochemistry and Computer Science. I am currently working on my M.Sc. in Interdisciplinary Studies (Comp. Sci and Biology) at the University of Victoria under Drs. Ulrike Stege, Alex Thomo and John Taylor. Most generally, I am interested in how Evolution contributes to changes in gene interactions.

Other  interests include:

  • Applications of social network theory to  gene network evolution
  • Evolutionary Theory
  • Distributed/cluster computing
  • Data mining large datasets
  • Efficient algorithms for large datasets

Prior to attending university I spent 7 years in the Canadian Armed Forces as an Army signaler. I also served with the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force along the Israel/Syria demilitarized zone.
